When you think of the word hero you will most likely think of the ones In the movies, but real life heroes do not have those far out powers that you see In the movies. Instead, their only power Is their strong will. This Is what Alisha Waters Is for many people, a hero who could have given up, but instead chose to be a figure for all who have suffered at the hands of domestic violence because she a victim of It too. She was shot five times with one of the shot leaving her unable to move from the neck down. Through her strong will she has regained some movement In her tools and arms, but still has the task of recovering full movement of her body. She Is In a contest to win a van that would allow her to get around In a better fashion as It's customized for people who are In her spot. She would have been very easy for her to call It quit and just not really care, but this Is not the type of person that Alisha Waters Is. She Is a fighter that has a very strong will to do things, thing Is she needs votes to win this van and the voting cost you nothing to do too as It Is free to vote. It can make a big difference In this girl's life, although something that does not cost you anything to do can help her regained her freedom again to be just like everyone else. Voting only takes a second to do too and It's something that can change her life for the better too.

As you can see In the video she has a sweet persona to her and she has a spirit that cannot be broken too easily too. Her life was forever changed by events that she had no control of which she Is no the voice for those that have gone through It and are still going through It too. Heroes are not born, they are forged by the events that unfold around them and how they handle them too. She chose to be a fighter and for this reason she Is a hero. A law that If it was passed before would have most likely offered Alisha Waters more protection. Alisha Waters Is trying to get this passed Into law so others will not have to go through what she has gone through and the bill only takes a couple of minutes to sign too. It will offer more domestic violence victims more protection from their hubbies, wives or bf or gf too. The World Is to beautiful of a place to be abused or even killed by someone that's supposed to love you and honor you, but yet It happens every single day and It's just down right sad and wrong too. It's wrong that someone thinks they owned you and that no one else can have you, but yet this Is what happens every single day. You hear of someone shooting their mates.
Unless we stand united this will only get worse too. Every day someone dies at the hand of their lover or someone that Is stalking them. We need to do something not stand on the sideline and watch It like It's a football game. These are good people that lose their lives or have their lives forever changed as Alisha Waters has. She could have given up on that day when she lost the use of her legs and fell Into self pity. But she chose to rise up and try to do something about It. She chose the path of the hero instead of the victim. This Is the marking of a true hero In my book, someone that chose to fight back and better the world for everyone In It. A law that does not cover all forms of stalking will only end up failing the people It Is trying to protect. It needs to be updated to include all forms of stalking so that It does not progress to the point where someone gets killed or having a life changing event.

The event Is coming up the 22 of June 2014. Alisha Waters Is a super sweet girl that was caught In the line of domestic violence It cost her mobility, she Is making progress but her bills are piling up on her fast and she Is still getting treatment too. Her medical bills have put her mom and her In debt. They are still holding on although trying to get these bills paid off and If you have ever had to get medical treatment you know how high they can be. This event Is going to help raise money for them that they need to pay those bills and If you are a biker then It will be a even nicer one for you too. There will be a lot of different things for everyone This event will be a show of support to Alisha and her family too, while at the same time give them a break and chance to just let lose.
